Telic Arts Exchange in Los Angeles used its awarded Warhol Initiative Grant towards a major redesign and reconstruction of  The Public School website. The transition included a very visible redesign, and some invisible infrastructural improvements that were made for long-term sustainability; the Drupal open source CMS, on which The Public School site is built, was upgraded from version 6 to version 7; and the web hosting has moved from a traditional web hosting provider to a more scalable cloud hosting provider (Linode). In the last six months, the organization has seen none of the down-time and database crashes that had plagued its old site; and with the scalable hosting plan, Telic will be cutting hosting costs by 60%.
