DiverseWorks, located in Houston, TX used its Initiative Fund Grant towards conducting an internal assessment and then in the development of a multi-year strategic plan that aim’s to serve the organization’s current and future needs. Through this assessment DiverseWorks has identified a number of areas which it will be addressing to allow for future growth and long-term stability. These areas include Management Structure, Diversification of Income and Facility and Expanding  engagement with Houston Communities. Its Internal Assessment and Strategic Plan illustrated how the organization identified these areas of focus and provides a framework for implementation. In this process DiverseWorks also engaged the services of PatronManager, an online donor management services organization that consolidates ticket sales, email marketing and the donor tracking database. The organization also decided to hire a Development Consultant who is tasked with developing a viable short term Development Plan which will increase Individual Giving and more fully details donor cultivation and recognition methodologies.
