The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts

Travel Grants

Beginning in June of 2012, the Foundation made a total of $375,000 available to Initiative grantees (both the journals and organizations) for the purpose of staff travel. Often identified as key to organizational growth and development, few, if any of the Initiative groups have additional resources to dedicate to travel.  Warhol travel grants, averaging around $5,000 per organization, allow executive directors and curators to visit peers across the country and abroad to experience their programming first-hand, exchange information and expertise, establish collaborative relationships and explore regional communities of artists. Taken together these trips have strengthened and deepened the network that the Initiative has fostered over the past 10+ years.
