On May 4th Headlands Center for the Arts and Artist in Residence A. Laurie Palmer (AIR ’14) will host an uphill walk in the company of California Lichen Society President Shelly Benson, and other distinguished guests. The excursion serves as an informal introduction to some of the many species of lichen thriving in the Marin Headlands sun and mist:

On Thursday, April 24th at 3:00pm, Women and Their Work will welcome Miwa Matreyek for an artist’s talk. The Los Angeles based animator, designer and multimedia artist will speak about her unique process and body of work that fuses animation with live performance. Matreyek creates short films and live works that integrate animation, performance, and theatrical video installation:
